Robots seem to be doing everything nowadays and now, they’re even creating furniture. Galatéa, the robot you see below was invented by engineer Sylvain Charipot who founded the French startup, Drawn. “She” is a large-scale 3D printer that can make unlimited works of recyclable furniture.

Galatéa was originally an industrial robot working in a car factory prior to creating furniture. She works by heating plastic up to 440 degrees Fahrenheit and can create objects of up to six-and-a-half feet long and four feet high. The concept is pretty simple, “to offer an intimately involved client-producer relationship in order to deliver customizable designs created on demand, before their eyes.”
