This definitely isn’t your average Thomas the Tank Engine, this is Thomas the Tank Engine meets Mad Max and the apocalypse. The remote-controlled machine was devised by Japanese sculptor Y Nakajima who hacked the multi-legged Combat Creature in order to create post-apocalyptic Thomas.
Not only is it mobile, it can rotate and shoot a 300mW laser which can pop balloons and ignite matches.
Nakajima used water-based acrylic paint to achieve the war-torn look
